Thanks, Ron. Actually I sat, way up in the balcony, watching those men beat those pianos, and each time they pounded the keys I was amazed everything didn't go south. When it was over and there were no horribly grinding sounds I was, frankly, amazed, and quite pleased to have survived. But, had I known then what I know now, I would have insisted the pianos be tuned at least one more time before the concert. I'm beginning to understand there are things newbies will do that seasoned persons, having learned the hard way, will refuse, simply because they'll get egg on their faces because of their good will, attempting too much with time and resources given.
