I cant do a pitch raise without a wedge but I only mute off the third (right hand) string when doing so, you get a feel for how much to pull up, point is when doing a one pass pitch raise - you're aiming for a out of tune piano which is sharp, not a fine tuned piano ready for a concert. Once the pitch raise is done, you're then lowering the strings to pitch, doing a rough tuning and then after a break of at least one cup of coffee, go on and fine tune it. With a customers piano my charge includes a return visit to check it. Brian Lawson IC PTG, MPT Johannesburg, South Africa ----- Original Message ----- From: "John M.
