Without this measurement, the strings won't fit the piano. Other than that, the information isn't needed to refigure the scale with the original bridge and hitch configuration. As far as the actual scaling software goes, the only dimensions needed are core diameter, overall wrap diameter, unwrapped end lengths, wrap weighting factor, single or double wrap, speaking length, strings per unison, and pitch.
