Prepare to get a boatload of responses on your question, but I'll offer here what will probably be the 'lowtech' version of determining cents. A440 down 1/2 step to G# (415.3, but lets say 415 for now) 440 beats minus 415 beats = 25 beats = 100 cents so.......each beat away from 440 is about 4 cents simple enough?
