PTG is the Piano Technicians' Guild. It's a professional organization of
piano technicians that exists to better the general knowledge about piano
technology. This pianotech list is sponsored by PTG, toward that end.
Perhaps someone in your area, lurking on this list, will contact you about
joining a local chapter. This is the best way there is to connect with
other experienced technicians who can help get you started and offer advice
when you get in a bind. Save up and plan to attend the National Convention
in Arlington this July for a concentrated learning experience that will
begin to put your recent repair experience in a little different
perspective. You've just brushed the surface. It gets better.
