Hi Joe, I imagine Al altered the design, so that this problem would be minimized, on the SAT lll. Every now and again, my foot stamps the floor, looking for the foot switch, even although I have a SATlll. Force of habit I guess. Regards, John M. It is so nice not to be hooked up with a tether. Never was able to use the foot switch and used a thumb switch attached to my hammer. oe Goss ----- Original Message ----- From: John Ross <piano.tech@ns.sympatico.ca> To: <pianotech@ptg.org> Sent: Sunday, January 09, 2000 6:24 AM Subject: RE: ACCU TUNER > > Hi, > The reason this is happening is that the air is much drier, during the > winter, in the houses, and you are getting a buildup of static electricity. > It is affecting the circuitry. > Try touching the plate before you touch the switches. > Hoping this helps. > Regards, > John M.
