Yes. Mr. Yamaha was a clock maker and decided to make reed organs. Later he traveled to America and Europe to study piano making. The rest is history. The piano is considered the parent product, motorcycles, boats, motors and other musical instruments so the piano gets a certain extra care as the parent product. Newton
