If the ring is imprinted into the finish you will need to sand with wet 600,
then ...
A satin finish will require rubbing with 0000 steel wool or gray Scotch-Brite.
A polished finish will require rubbing with rubbing compound and buffing.

If it is just a surface mark, a cleaner may take it off, Or one of the steps
above without the sanding.
