Yes... John  but it may be available from your supply houses. 

It is end grain felt,  the grain follows the direction of the hammers - this is
so the fibbers of the felt surround  the string old felt get compacted and
is not as efficient.  Where as undemper felt just sits on the string and
uses pressure to damp  until it gets groves with age  then the dampers
part surround the string and buzz.  

Think of a paint brush stabbing into the strings.
