I am not familiar with the spray-on type of grain filler.....sounds interesting. I currently use Enduro which is a paste-type transparent filler - you spread it on with a plastic blade. It will not dry for at least 5 minutes, so you can work it in real well and you have plenty of time to squeegie off any excess.
