I'm not going to bore people with my life story other than to say I became my own boss because I found that I could not hold down a job working for anyone else. I'm in my 31st year of unemployment now. 1999 was the best year yet. One of the problems that I have seen occur with the way that people tune pianos, sometimes considered standard practice, "good enough" and often not what was really intended even though what was intended is not really very well understood, is that pianists often learn *not* to listen to what they play. Otherwise, how could they ever tolerate it? Bill Bremmer RPT Madison, Wisconsin
