Jim, most of the pianos we have down here are of European or Asian origin with 1/0 pins and I guess I've gotten used to the feel of these. I notice a difference in the fine tunability of pianos with 3/0 pins, which I have used for restringing. I think by the time you're looking at 4/0, it's time to consider a new block.
