You are on the same line as Keith, and apparently Ron N. You turn the problem
situation upside down. This is not about whether one can tune with an ETD or
not... its about whether they can tune period. If you can not tune without the
ETD.. you aint a tuner. You are at best the extension of a machine.  Further  just
because a person does use an ETD says nothing in itself about whether they cant
tune without it. You dont know until you test them.

Listen Wim, and you others who insist on following this direction...

I sat in on a ETD tuning exam this summer in Arlington. The person got marks in
the 30's and 40's for the Aural section... didnt have a clue. In the ETD part the
person passed... varying marks from a low 80 to one 98.  You want to certify this
person... go for it. Because thats the kind of thing that will happen if you
follow this road to its logical conclusion.
