I did some floor tunings for a local Yamaha dealer that also sold Pearl River. Kinda made me think of a 50s era Baldwin Hamilton that had been in a university practice room since new. The one you ran across sounds pretty much in line with what I observed. I'm glad I'm not in marketing. "Our Mission is Simple...........To Develope the Worlds Highest Quality Pianos - Pearl River" right off the inside cover of this month's PTG Journal. AAARRRRRGGGGGGGGG! How do these people sleep at night? Why not something more like: Pear River - a Piano that Looks Great and Can Play Acceptably for Non-Demanding Owners (be sure to send in your warranty card!) - All at a Very Low Price. At least you could sleep easier!
