If all I am doing is tuning, all the light I need is enough to put in my
strip mute. I have had to use my Maglite to do even that on a dark stage
here on campus when I've had to tune at 5AM and the cleaning crew hadn't
yet turned on the lights, but after it is stripped I can do it in the dark
. ;-} I figger I'm getting in training for when my eyes give out completely...

I can't recall _any_ of my private customers not providing plenty of light
when I requested it,
many _do_ ask if I have enough.

I have a clamp-on reflector light which I'll bring in if I have to do
extensive work under the keybed. (like putting in new plastic elbows ;-)

Speaking of Maglite...

I recently got a new toy for my AA size Maglite. It is a flashlight
accessory!?! (I never would have thought that a flashlight _needed_ an
accessory.) It is a 5 1/2" x 1/8"(140 x 3mm) flexible fibre optic tube
which slips over the lens.

It's fun getting light _inside_ of an action and not having to deal with
the normal shadows.

I found it at an outfitting store (Gander Mountain) for less than $5US, but
it should be available other places.
