Hello List

I'm trying to trace the accurate age of a Hardman "Consolette" spinet #123290
which Pierce dates at 1960. However, everything else points to this being a
much older piano:(original) wood elbows, ivory keycovers, flat-top styling (3
piece hinged lid) similar to early Acrosonics & rather old fashioned mahogany
casework. Serial numbers allotted to Harrington & Minipiano would place this
at 1937 which seems more appropriate.

I seem to recall seeing a reference to the earliest spinets but can't locate
it now. Just what is the history of this creature? This happens to be a
very nice musical sounding piano in excellent condition - which also
indicates a date earlier than 1960.

The recent purchaser is interested in how old it is. Any feedback
appreciated.
