I find that just making the muffler rail spring stronger will be enough to get it working. Just take one end of the spring and start turning it through the eye of the mounting until you have effectively shortened the spring. The pedal rod will now pull the rail down the same distance as before but the extra strength of the spring will pull it up higher when it is disengaged, giving you the longer throw. Dave Bunch
