Ra Byn James,

<<SO............for those of you out there who use a Hale tuning lever with
a
Hale tip, which tip size do you use?>>

I use the Jahn lever now, but still have the Hale as well. As you found out,
the tip sizes are not the same. My new Hale #2 tips are larger than an older
one that I have had for a while. I use a #2 for all pianos. The #2 on the
Jahn lever is a little smaller than the Hale, but I like the feel of it on
most pianos.

<<they're too cheap not to own a few & keep in different places...........>>

Exactly. I carry two extra #2 tips in my car with me. Overkill? Maybe, but
at least I will always be able to find one. :-)
