Does this action have a unique type of jack spring? I worked on something that sounds similar several years ago. The spring was a pull coil type connected to a separate rail. Very weird. I just faked it as best as I could because it was in pretty awful shape. I wish I had taken some pictures. I had never seen anything like it, nor since.
