Dear List:
In the latest Music Trades (April 2000) there are a few interesting items:
Short article on Piano 300 at the Smithsonian.
Inside cover for Steinway with a photo of the Tricentennial Piano, with case
designed by Dakota Jackson. Sort of art deco, with a strange looking lid.
Statistics on musical instrument sales. Sales of verticals and grands both
down from 1998 (-5% composite). Sales of electronic player pianos way way up
(+39%)!
Information gleaned from ads: the latest stencil name for Pearl River:
Ritmuller (with an umlaut).
It's worth dropping by your friendly music dealer's shop for a quick scan.
