Hi folks,

I've been lurking for a VERY long time!

Wanted to add to Ola's comments to Ed, about piano places in London.
Heckschers is a good piano supplies house, but I don't know that it's worth
struggling up to Bayham street in Camden just to see their office - you can
see their range in their catalogue.

Piano showrooms: Steinway in Marylebone Lane is worth visiting - if you
explain you;re a bona-fide tuner they'll happily let you wander round, and
it's a big showroom. Just across the road is Fazioli, well worth trying
the Fazioli pianos if you've not come across them. Then there's Jaques
Samuel pianos in Edgeware road. They're the agents now for Bosendorfer, and
have quite a big range of others too. Also, Chappell of Bond Street
(Yamaha, with good range of sheet music). These are all very central - you
could see them in half a day. There are some other showrooms too. If you
notified Stienway in advance, they might let you tour their workshop.

best wishes all,

David Boyce
