Several companies, Bosendorfer and Yamaha to name a few, made one piece ivory
tops.

Make an appointment with the lady and take a close look. They could be two
peice ivories, but the sepration between the front and the back could be so
faint, that she can't see it.

If they are ivory, (whether they are one piece or not), you can fix the
chips. Richard Wagner sells a kit to repair ivories for $39.95. He can be
reached at 503 697-9254 e-mail at Rjwag@Pacifier.com.
