CA glue for Bridges?

You seem to be of the impression that I make all my repairs "just to get by"
Please understand that when the situation calls for it, I will do a "proper"
repairs. What we have been discussing are repairs to pianos that don't warrant
extensive repairs. I think enough members have told you their thoughts on the
matter.

As a matter of information. I have repaired a bridge with CA glue, and after
three years, the repair is still holding. Why don't' manufacturers use it? For
one thing, CA glue is much more expensive than hide or other glues. For
another, Used in large quantity, the workers would have to use oxygen masks in
order to breath. This stuff is OK in small quantities, but I wouldn't want to
be around a place where they use a lot of it.
