Hi Brian
I speak as an RCT user who came to ETD's after 16 years of aural tuning. I
found that it was very helpful in lifting my game, particularly at the
extremes of the piano.
I chose RCT because dealt most comprehensively with my concerns about ETD's.

A cheap ETD is exactly that! Cheap.
The Korg and anything else in that league is not a professional tool. If you
are a professional tech, then you owe it to your customers (as well as
yourself) to have the right equipment. You need something that will
encourage you to lift your game rather than use something that you know you
can beat.....that's just wasting money.

Regarding costs, Dean Reyburn offers a basic computer with RCT loaded for
$1395.

Check out www.reyburn.com for details.

Hi,

Would I be out of place in asking about your opinions of the ETD's that
are available today?

I've been working hard to learn to do good aural tunings, and have had
some success. But I've been wondering if I should 'step up' to a new
level with an ETD. It looks like there are several 'cheap' tuners
available in the Apsco catalog, and I have actually used the older Korg
tuner they advertise. (Much of the time I argue with it. I think I can
tune as well or better than it can, in a lot of instances.) But I've
been hearing a lot about the Sanderson Acutuner, and also the Reyburn
Cyber Tuner.

I'd really like to know what you who are using either of these, (or
others you think should be considered) think about how easy they are to
use, and how good or bad they do as to the final result.

If I may be just a little bold here too, I'd really like to know what
some of these things cost. I read advertisements in the journal, and
they do sound wonderful, but I've never seen a price tag yet. Do any of
you know what the general prices on these things are, and more
importantly, do you believe them to be reasonable?

Wow! What a question!

If you've got 2 cents to throw at me...

Thanks!
