trichord damper noise

Not just the trichords, but also the bi-chords. If the piano is older, and/or 
has been used a lot, the felt can get hard, or at least hard enough to where 
you get the problem you indicated. Aside from replacing the felt, try voicing 
them. Take the damper out, and literally use your voicing needles to fluff up 
the felt a little. You can also take a small file, and remove just a little 
of the felt.
