I recently had an add-on outlet that did not work (for whatever reason, it wouldn't "click" in closed position). Luckily I had an extra just in case. Sometimes the position of the humidistat doesn't give me much space for an adapter there. Especially on a small grand. The add-on's make me a bit nervous, but, so far they have done the job.
