When lubricating I feel that using a syringe is more appropriate than a brush or a spray. I normally just touch the end of the syringe to the string, close to the bearing point. I prefer the "crack it slightly low and then bring it up" method. That has produced very few strings that break. Ed Tomlinson Vancouver WA
