Visual - I certainly agree.  I was just concerned with the possibility of
what we call "flagpoling" or is that not a serious problem with
harpsichords when the bottom of the coil is a good 1/2" off the
wrestplank.  I pointed these things out to the builder, but was very
careful to make sure that he recognized my observations only as
constructive and not as critical.  Believe me, by the time I was done we
were both laughing about a lot of things together so I really think he
took no offense.  ( I had told him that he had all the right in the world
to be proud of what he had done.)
