Ron, How old was this piano? Not too long ago I put new hammers and shanks on a M&H from the 1960's and found the hammer angle way off of the string angles for most of the piano. I was able to match the sting angle quite easily when I bored the new hammers. I wondered at the time why the manufacture hadn't done the same. Andrew Remillard
