I was recently asked by a local historical society if I could find any
information on Liscom & Thurber. The Pierce Atlas gives an address in
providence, and mentions a Levi Liscom as a pianoforte builder from 1841. It
does not list any serial numbers.

This historical society recently acquired a Liscom & Thurber Square Piano
#300......The person who contacted me said it had square corners, octagon legs
and no iron plate. I was pleased they knew to not call it a square grand.

If anyone has any information on this, I'd appreciate hearing about it.

Thanks in advance for any help.
