James,
I have just returned from the North Carolina PTG Conference and my wife
and I visited many antique shops on the way up and back. One of the shops
sold a product called "Briwax" which is a mixture of carnauba and beeswax
mixed with toluene as a carrying agent. If it's a carnauba wax product you
were trying to mix, "Briwax" might be what you're looking for. The
manufacturer can be reached at 1-800-327-4929. If you have a FAX machine I
can fax you their brochure.

> Yesterday I bought a pound of carnuba wax flakes/crystals/powder.
>($16.95) I tried melting it in a baby food jar in my electric glue pot.
>Didn't work. I then took it upstairs and put the jar in a pan and boiled

>solidified again and came out just as hard as it was before except it was

>this carnuba to where it is useable? I suspect that the carnuba did not mix
>with my regular wax and when I get to it in the can it will be clunks of

>Thanks

> I thought this would make a good Christmas present for my wife, don't
>you think? :>)
