Jon,

Ebony, of course, is a natural material and has blacks and 
browns running through it.  I personally love to see the 
variation in the sharps when they are real ebony...you might try 
explaining that to her.  Have you seen Steinway's ebony veneer 
pianos?  Many different swirls of black and brown...gorgeous!
