A music teacher has inquired about it but I have know personal experience with this brand. I am assuming this is the same "Alfred Knight" brand that is produced in England. Can anyone tell me about the relative quality of these instruments? Are there any other modern "Knight" pianos out there which it could be? >> Robert- I service two (vintage about 1970) in churches, and find I am just touching up the tuning when I go. I haven't seen any newer ones except a "Knight Royale" made by a merchant named Call in Charlotte, NC who had bought the remants of Estey when it went out (I was told that Estey had licensed the Knight scale). About 1970, Consumers Union made a foray into the field of rating pianos, and gave Knight and Bechstein top billing among verticals, Steinway the dregs, and Yamaha a best buy. I was happy to be tuning for a dealer who sold Knights and Yamahas at the time. Sorry I cannot help you about the new Knights- I haven't seen any new ones in 25 years. Bill Maxim, RPT
