I have utilized a Shopsmith since the early '80's. I am pressed for space and its multi-function operation gets all my woodworking needs accomplished. In the arsenal comes a table saw, drill press, disk sander, lathe (unused). Add-ons I have are: band saw, planner, jointer. More power . . arh, arh, arh. I also have a free standing belt sander for player work. But by far and away, the Shopsmith has enabled me to 'rebuild' quite a few pianos.
