As I believe I have said, I view the publications of indexes in book form to be a bit antiquated. I believe these should be computerized (at least), and online and regularly updated (at best). I don't think that the index file recently posted compares in scope and usefulness to the index that John Baird is keeping up-to-date. The Board has been well aware that the Journal CD-ROM is likely to contain the donated index. But the CD-ROM project is in the future and the Boone index is available now and IMHO deserves support.
