Phil,
Do you mean the jack button punching that rests against the spoon? Or the
Jack stop felt(Yamaha)/ Fly cushion felt (Wurlitzer)/ Repetition
felt(Steinway)? I have seen these actions and have had to replace that
stuff because of noise.  Kimball paid me at the time to do it.
