I once had this same problem.
Sanding a set of cauls to fit is not a very excact method.
What I did was, I looked around me in the mass my shop always is, until I
found some material that I could use. I measured all kinds of waste
material. finally I found a piece of 3mm Perspex ®
and cut it into cauls. It only costed me a few minutes and zero $$.
This is one of the advantages of not beeing able to throw anything away.
