List,(baloney et al), Decker bros rosewood overstrung grand, sn 11970, reconditioned at "Vintage Piano Co." of Walnut Creek, CA. Has moved to the corner of cactus-and-rock (my service area in southern NM), and was apparently tuned flat for the last few years. Not super flat. Maybe 60-70 cents. Hard to tell for sure, since every piano that comes out here drops a ways. Hey! It rained a little yesterday! Raised the humidity to 27% for almost an HOUR!! Anyway, two things: Anyone recognize the above named company? (Vintage Piano Co.) and ...Would you raise the pitch? All pins are tight, no rust, almost modern-looking plate design, except the open block. No apparent shape-changing characteristics to the rim at the block ends. (like soooo many of these puppies) Tolded the customer (sweetheart kinda nice person) 'bout the possible risks. This is her first piano..... she decided to learn how to play when she retired. More power to her. Interesting choice of instrument, though..... Thanks in advance for feedback, Guy On the other hand, you've got different fingers.
