Susan,

You might try mixing up some of your VJ lube using Teflon powder instead
of graphite. It's a bit less messy to use and the lubricating properties
last a bit longer. At least with the bearing surfaces for which VJ lube
is appropriate. I use it for all of my trapwork stuff, action shift
springs, keyframe hold-downs, etc.
