Dear Phil, I'm cheap so I would not buy the list but it certainly wouldn't hurt to let the dealer know that you are interested in getting a quality clientele (Yamaha buyers) and that you would work with him to maintain the quality service they are used to. You could also let your local piano teachers know that you are looking for a quality group of piano owners and you are dedicated to giving quality service. If in fact this tuner leaves town without anyone buying the list you have as good as chance as anyone to pick up his clients as long as you put the word out. Don't worry about your competitors, rather, let them worry about you and your helpful atitude that you are going tocome a major player in your market. Success to you!
