Dear Phil,
I'm cheap so I would not buy the list but it certainly wouldn't hurt to let
the dealer know that you are interested in getting a quality clientele
(Yamaha buyers) and that you would work with him to maintain the quality
service they are used to. You could also let your local piano teachers
know that you are looking for a quality group of piano owners and you are
dedicated to giving quality service. If in fact this tuner leaves town
without anyone buying the list you have as good as chance as anyone to pick
up his clients as long as you put the word out.
Don't worry about your competitors, rather, let them worry about you and
your helpful atitude that you are going tocome a major player in your
market. Success to you!
