noise

Does anyone know the source or cause of an irritating noise that seems to
occur in a variety of pianos, usually after an action has been unused only
for a day or two? This has been drawn to my attention by two different
clients and one piano dealer. I can only describe it as a tick that happens
as soon as the key begins to move, and only the first time the key is
played. It does'nt happen again untill the piano has been unused for a few
hours or days. This is not a serious problem but somebody has to have heard
it before me....Here's hoping.
