     Danny, Les, and Horrace,

Thanks for the input. Danny, your analysis of hearing and hearing aids
was great. Les and Horrace, I will definitely use a softening solution
     as opposed to needles.

All the flanges ARE plastic. Most of the damper flanges have been
replaced, and the El's have been replaced. The hammer butt flanges
held up to the rigors of shaping, but I don't want to put any more
stress on them than is necessary.

The plastic wip flanges are another story. They are so brittle I was
unable to reg lost motion without having them break on me (several
hammers were sitting up off the rail). The wip flanges will ultimately
have to be replaced. (Don't ask what I temporarily did to reg the lost
motion without turning sticker dowels - maybe you can guess!)

     Thanks again!

John Piesik, RPT
