I feel you owe no one an apology.  I have learned from your posts, I have
not always agreed with your opinion (very rarely) and enjoy your humor and
enthusiasm for your work and willingness to share.

Piano tuners
 are not opiniated,
 always agree with everyone,
 everyone knows what everyone else does
 are not reclusive
 work best in crowded offices
 work best with rock music blasting into their heads
 never disagree with anyone
 are generally not a pain in the ass
 never denigrate another
 are always kind, cheerful, helpful, generour, outgoing, etc., etc.

You are who you are and need not change yourself for anyone, especially us.
