Old Kimball Grand Trapwork

Hi list.

I'm Looking for some information about the linkage for the soft pedal on a
1924 Whitney (kimball) Grand piano. This piano used to be a reproducing
player, so the hammer rest rail is pushed up from the trapwork to
accomplish this. There are two rods, threaded for adjusting . One for
each side of the rest rail. There is no obvious connection from the rods to
the rest rail. The piano "came with" some old pieces of leather that
appear to have been used for this purpose , but are no longer attached to
anything. Other than this ,it is a pretty decent little instrument.
Thanks for any help in solving this mystery.

Sincerely,

Mike Van Deventer
