M&H aliquots

I'm presently working on a M&H 'BB1' from 1922, and have done several others
in the past. I was curious about aliquot placement, too. This piano was in
completely original condition when it came to me. I observed that all the
aliquots were positioned for harmonious intervals with their associated
speaking lengths, and remarkably well tuned, too. The treble-most group were
tuned to unisons with their speaking lengths; next lower group were at a
fifth above speaking lengths; next group at the octave; next group at the
twelfth; next group at fifteenth (double octave); next group at 19th, etc. I
made notes on how many notes in each group, but I don't have them with me
now; in any case, it is clear where these group breaks are since there are
corresponding breaks in the hitch-pin array.

Hope this is some help.
