I've seen a small/medium brass weight under the low end of the tenor bridge
of a D.H. Baldwin (ick!). All things considered, I couldn't tell if it
improved ANYTHING in this instance.

Check the soundboard crown with a string and flashlight underneath. I've
found a lot of them flat in this area. Don't trust a downbearing reading
from above, it won't tell you enough. Get out and get under to see for sure.
Do you get an odd muddy sound distortion on a hard blow in this area along
with short duration? <insert sound> When I hear that sound, I crawl under
and check. If it's flat, forget the voicing problem!

P.S. How do you do a real-time sound attatchment to E-Mail?
