Ted,

      Here's a sticky question for you and Denis. What do you do if the
bridge pins on each unison are uneven, and you get different
measurements for speaking lengths on a single note? I came across
this on a Lansdowne 54" upright, and I rescaled using the center
string measurement. Pulling and re-drilling bridge pins was
unfeasable for this job, and the piano *had* to be rescaled, as an
enthusiastic helper had removed the treble along with the bass
strings.
