      Who knows what evil lurks in the minds of Balswin?  They were nexer
so bad as to come near to Chickering in terms of changing designs.  You may
have a transitional design that is neither this or that but something else.
      If you can get Baldwin to search their files you may get an answer.
      In the meantime I think you are on the right track.  Check one or two
out and see if you get better results with elevating flanges in terms of
regulating results.
