free ads via PIANOTECH

I find myself leaning toward the "no ads on PIANOTECH" end of the
spectrum on this question.  I say "leaning" because more than one person
whose intellect I have come to admire and value has spoken in support of
this type of thing and I think there's more thinking for me to do on the
subject.

The point, previously made, that this is free advertising on a list not
(I assume) maintained for that purpose seems to be a large factor in my
feelings right now.  A classified section designed for this very
thing is offered monthly by the Piano Technicians Guild Journal but
perhaps that publication is, in this instance at least, becoming a
dinosaur in this electronic age.  I "hope" not ... I value the PTG
Journal greatly ...but what I "hope" may have little to do with this.

The question of free speech is a touchy one but I am not convinced that
the "right of free speech" means the right to say anything, anytime,
anywhere, via any medium.  I could be wrong about any or all of
this...and I could change my mind tommorrow.
