Hi, Allen - yes, I use a fork. I do an A to A temperament, and get A440 by comparing the interval F(4?) a tenth down from A440 on the piano to A440 on the fork, with the interval F(4?) on the piano to A440 on the piano. the beat rates should be identical. I'll be on vacation for 10 days in Maine, so until then keep cool..... Scott
